Old and New come together to celebrate the holidays

What a perfect night!  This past wednesday we prepared for the holidays in the best way we know how, by welcoming back many former players and playing against our current students.  

It was all smiles, laughs and handshakes until the match started. The speed of the college and professional game is many times faster than youth soccer so we were a goal down to the alum before many of the crowd had had taken their seats.  The players produced the reaction we were looking for and equalized soon after.  Game on.  

The game ended 3-3 with the alum pulling of a late equalizer before coming a hair's breadth away from snatching a late winner. 
Bobby Murphy often said that we plant trees whose shade we know we will never sit in.  We could not be more proud of the players of the past or more excited about the future of the ones we currently have.
