Boarding Program

You Belong Here

A Distinctive, Immersive Experience

St. Stephen's boarding residents have a home away from home, where students are nurtured, supervised, and feel belonging.  Guided and supported by a houseleader and a team of house parents, boarding students build relationships and a sense of safety and community. Your student becomes independent by learning to manage their time between meals, classes, studying, sports and activities.

St. Stephen's Austin boarding program also provides a world of fun and adventure! Weekends are action-packed with fun events and outings, which cultivate a strong and integrated community. Sharing living space means sharing experiences and valuing differences. Rules foster positive communal living in residence halls.

Student Proctors

Responsible, capable junior and senior high school students selected by the head of school, residential faculty and students, serve as leaders and provide peer supervision in our dorms. Older students mentor newer residents, and help them to adjust to boarding-school life. Faculty members who live in apartments and houses adjacent to the residence halls provide adult supervision.
