Tradition of Philanthropy

When the Rt. Rev. John E. Hines founded St. Stephen’s in 1950, he envisioned a school with the highest academic standards that would welcome people from across the socioeconomic spectrum and around the world. Bishop Hines’ vision for an exceptional independent school became a reality thanks to the generosity of the St. Stephen’s community. This deep-rooted shared culture of giving has enabled the school to become the outstanding institution that it is today. Thank you for continuing that tradition.

"I am reminded daily of the ways that the generosity of the Spartan community allows us to live more deeply into our mission: from scholarship support that ensures students of all backgrounds have the opportunity to a St. Stephen’s education, professional development opportunities for our faculty and staff, to our beautiful grounds and facilities. Thank you for the difference you are making for all of us on The Hill and beyond."
