Spartan Athlete of the Week: Jack Mabley, 11th Grade

As the Spartan Boys’ Basketball season comes to a close, there is a sense of hope in the potential of a strong team next year, despite graduating 11 members of the Class of 2022. The Spartans finished fifth place overall, going 15-10 for the season and winning their last game against the Episcopal School of Dallas 60-54. 

Eleventh grader Jack Mabely shows signs of becoming a strong leader for the team next year, as he proved himself on both offense and defense throughout the season. Mabely led the team in three-point shooting all season long, giving the Spartans an edge on offense. He scored seven three-pointers against the Episcopal School of Dallas at the SPC tournament. Thanks to his strong shooting arm, he was a main factor in the Spartans strong finish and looks to be a force in his final season on the Hill next winter. 

“I am so proud of Jack’s effort on both ends of the court this season,” said Head Coach La-Mont King. “I can’t wait to see him lead our team on and off the court next year.”
