EPIC Teammates of the Week: Roshni Dhruva and Grant Seade, 8th Grade

We are pleased to introduce our Middle School Epic Teammates of the Week! This week we are highlighting two Middle School Cross Country runners. Eighth graders Grant Seade and Roshni Dhruva won their respective divisions at the Speedster Classic in Salado on Sept 4. Seade ran a 12:12.82 and Dhruva ran a 14:26.09 in their two-mile races — both impressive times!

Middle School Director of Athletics Kathy Coe said, “Not knowing what to expect from the competition at this new meet for us last weekend, we were pleasantly surprised and greatly satisfied to see Grant and Roshni emerge from the pack as leaders, both finishing 17 and 18 seconds ahead of second place in their races.”

 

Both are inspiring athletes. “Roshni is a quiet leader and a gifted runner, and Grant has emerged from the shadows and has risen to the challenges of competition,” Coe continued. ”They both work hard daily in practice to achieve victory! There are great things ahead for both of them!”

 

This past weekend, both runners again had big races where Dhruva placed 6th out of 197 runners and Seade placed 2nd out of 317 runners.
