Spartan Athlete of the Week: Eliza Cho, 11th Grade

Eleventh grade Varsity Field Hockey player Eliza Cho dominated the attacking circle during the team’s game against Episcopal Houston on Aug. 28. Cho’s offensive prowess and quick hands enabled her to rip shots while managing direct pressure from the Knights’ defensive unit. Her competitive spirit and gritty work on the press allowed the Spartans to maintain field advantage for much of the game, and the backhanded goal she scored was icing on the cake.

“Nothing sounds better to a forward than the thud of a ball on the back of the boards, and you can see that from Eliza's celebration on Saturday,” said Varsity Field Hockey Coach Chelsea Richards. “She has definitely put in a lot of work, and it's paying off!”

Cho has improved her game through hard work and dedication, and it is apparent on the field. She is a leader and team player for the Spartans, and she is hungry for an SPC championship this fall.
