Biology Students Study Invasive Species on Campus

Every fall Dean Mohlman's Biology I classes study environmental issues that affect the Earth by exploring our 370-acre living laboratory. Students study biodiversity, overpopulation and overconsumption of resources, renewable and nonrenewable energy, and climate change. In conjunction with Mohlman's "walk the walk" discussion, students move their studies outside the classroom onto to St. Stephen's campus, where they do their part to help the environment by removing invasive species of plants. Pictured here are students with a sample Ligustrum that they have removed. Way to go, Spartans!
