Julie Buckthal Person '71

Julie Buckthal Person ’71 attended St. Stephen’s as a boarding student from Amarillo. She majored in English and Drama at Vanderbilt and earned a master’s degree in English Literature at the University of Arizona. She returned to St. Stephen’s from 1977 to 1984; she taught middle and upper school drama, junior and senior English, and 8th grade anthropology during her time on The Hill. She retired in 2005 after teaching drama for 20 years at St. Andrew’s. Her children, Natalie Heberling ’99 and Paul Heberling ’01, graduated from St. Stephen’s.
