Yasmine Smith '12

Yasmine Smith ’12 matriculated through the Breakthrough program, graduated from St. Stephen’s in 2012, received her B.A. from St. Edward's University, and went on to earn her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law. She is the founding member and managing partner of Abundance Law PLLC where she assists clients with business incorporation, estate and probate law, oil and gas contracts, and real estate issues. Additionally, Yasmine currently acts as both the Director of Development and Partnerships and the Director of Justice and Advocacy for the Austin Area Urban League, and served as Community Engagement Specialist for former Austin Mayor Steve Adler's office. Prior to founding Abundance Law PLLC, Yasmine worked for the City of Austin's law department as well as serving as a Commissioner for the Board of Adjustments. Yasmine serves on various non-profit agencies in a legal capacity and as a board member and is the current Chair of People United for Mobility Action (PUMA) in which she has been instrumental in local and regional transportation and infrastructure policy decisions through a mobility justice lens; one of her biggest accomplishments is successfully advocating for $300 million of anti-displacement funding in conjunction with Project Connect which created a national template in transportation.
