Spartan Athlete of the Week: Kristin Svahn, 11th Grade

Eleventh grade team captain Kristin Svahn has been a consistent player for the Girls’ Lacrosse team this year. After battling through surgery last season, she immediately became a valuable player this year when she stepped on the field. She is a natural leader and a player that consistently factors into the Spartan’s success.

Svahn has led the team in ground balls and caused turnovers this season. She also had a season high of five goals during the rivalry game against St. Andrew's, helping the Spartans bring home the win.

"Kristin is all hustle when she steps onto the field,” said Head Coach and Girls’ Lacrosse Program Manager Emily Walling. “She has great stick skills, making her heavily relied upon across all areas of the field. She is always willing to step into any position to help her team."

Svahn and the team are headed to the SPC Championship Tournament on Thursday, April 28. They are set to play against St. John’s at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29.
