Renee Lafair most recently served as the Regional Director of Anti-Defamation League Austin. In her role, she oversaw the educational, civil rights, and law enforcement initiatives of ADL Austin and directed local strategy to fight for justice and fair treatment for all. She directed ADL Austin’s No Place for Hate® program, an anti-bias and anti-bullying initiative in over 350 Central Texas schools impacting over 250,000 children. She convenes the Austin/Travis County Hate Crimes Task Force. Renee facilitates local ADL law enforcement trainings. Recently, she has begun supporting local online companies in their effort to respond to online hate. Prior to the ADL, Renee was a business owner, consultant and an active community member. She founded Green Places, a green building company, which was one of the first builders in Austin to achieve the highest green building rating the City offers. In business, she did strategic business consulting for companies ranging from online catalogs to military contractors, helping companies find new and innovative concepts and markets. Renee holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, a B.S. from the Wharton School of UPenn, and an M.P.P. from Princeton. She and husband Michael are parents to Josh '19, Louis '14 and Rebecca '14.
