The Texas Jazz & Blues Camp is in Austin, Texas, and is a program of NSM, Austin, and is led by Don Braden, a world-class tenor saxophonist, flutist, composer, and educator.
Don has toured and recorded with many major jazz artists, including Betty Carter, Wynton Marsalis, Freddie Hubbard, Tony Williams, & Roy Haynes. Don also directs the Litchfield Jazz Camp & Festival (one of the oldest and largest jazz camps & festivals,) and directs the Harvard Jazz Combo Initiative. NSM, VP of Resource Development,
Andre Hayward, is a renowned trombonist and jazz educator, who has toured with Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Roy Hargrove, Betty Carter, & many others. Andre has served on faculty at NEC, NYU, UNT, UT Austin, & is currently at Huston-Tillotson.
