June 22-26, 2020
9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (12:30 p.m. pick-up Friday)
Ages: 12-15
Cost: $800
In this camp you get to take home a complete computer:  a Raspberry Pi, computer monitor, Raspberry Pi Camera, Keyboard, and Mouse!!! This camp centers around the Raspberry Pi:  a computer that is just a little bit larger than a credit card. They are used widely in DIY and IOT projects.  The four day camp will be focused on how to navigate the Linux based operating system and how to run program basic Python programs. We will then show you how how to hook up sensors for science experiments and to perform object detection which robots use in computer vision. You might even get to fiddle with some Minecraft integration.  Beginners are welcome. All should be prepared for a deep dive into tech hardware and software and ready to approach these tasks with enthusiasm.

This camp is taught by St. Stephen’s electronics and robotics teacher Troy Lanier.
You can follow his students’ work at https://www.instagram.com/sstxrobotics/  Lunches are included.
