Boarders at El Buen

This year a group of dedicated boarding students from St. Stephen’s have given up their free time spending Monday evenings doing community service work at El Buen Samaritano here in Austin.  

Students help the organization by taking care of small children in the Early Learning Center or by tutoring elementary school children whose parents are taking evening English classes at the center. The experience has given these students the opportunity to make use of their talents, knowledge and experience in the service of others and has strengthened their commitment to being a positive influence on the greater community.

El Buen Samaritano is an outreach ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas committed to helping Latino and other families in Central Texas lead healthy, productive and secure lives through high-quality and affordable health-care, education and economic-stability services.
