Ages 11-16
Times: 9:00am-12:00pm

In Shredding 101 we start with the basics of mountain bike handling and maintenance, then quickly progress into riding obstacles (rocks, dirt, wood) while developing core skills on the bike. By the end of the week, you’ll be sending your bike off small jumps and drops! All within a safe progression, supported by a professional MTB instructor and Level 3 NICA-certified coach.

Come enjoy 300+ acres of pristine woods, limestone bluffs, and hidden creeks on the St. Stephen's Episcopal School campus. Become a stronger mountain bike rider while expanding your skills. This camp is tailored toward beginner through advanced beginner/low-intermediate riders. (Note: St. Stephen’s MTB Camps are fully insured by the St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and are not affiliated with NICA.)
A limited number of Trek mountain bikes and helmets are available to rent for the week of camp. Additional fees apply.

Want to build muscle while building trails? Gain MTB skills on freshly built features -- features that you helped design and build? Want to learn some of the core tools of the trade -- physical tools we use to build and maintain MTB trails, as well as digital mapping and trail design tools?

Come enjoy 300+ acres of pristine woods, limestone bluffs, and hidden creeks on the St. Stephen's Episcopal School campus. Become a stronger mountain bike rider and learn the essentials of the trail-building industry, one of the fastest-growing outdoors professions in the country and across the world.

This camp will introduce riders to intermediate and advanced MTB skills, including technical climbing, riding wood skinnies, dirt jumping, and bike handling skills (track stands, bunny hops, wheelies, stoppies/endos).

Newer riders should take Shredding 101 as a prerequisite to the "You Dig, You Ride!" camp. Contact Coach Derek (dhansen@sstx.org) for more info.

Ready to level up? Like, way up? This camp mixes elements of XC and Enduro/All-Mountain riding, as well as Dirt Jumping and Trials. Gain advanced techniques in technical climbing, rock trials, descending, cornering, jumping, dropping off large obstacles, riding wood skinnies, and progressive bike-handling skills (track stands, bunny hops, wheelies, stoppies/endos, whips). While this camp focuses on riding, we will mix in some digging and site prep work to build a better understanding of jump geometry and obstacle dynamics.
