John Moon Honored for 20 Years of Service

A longstanding tradition at St. Stephen's is to honor faculty members when they reach their 20th year of teaching at the school. On February 19, John Moon was recognized by both Middle School and Upper School students in special Chapel programs for his outstanding work. His students took the opportunity to describe their classroom experiences and share the joy they feel when playing in the school orchestras. They collectively thanked Moon for his tireless dedication to his music students and the school.

After joining the St. Stephen's faculty in 1998, Moon built a program that initally began with only two students but grew into the robust multi-orchestra program it is today — culminating with the school's Global Ensemble playing at Carnegie Hall this coming April. His work has required great knowledge, skill, patience, persistence and humor!

Congratulations to Moon on his successful work of 20 years with students at St. Stephen's, in Haiti and beyond.
