Sixth grade writers exuberantly displayed their original books at a multigenerational reception in Becker Library in early April. Students wrote, revised and illustrated original works, and did something difficult for even professional writers: they finished, and finished with flair! The books spanned the gamut of genres with a particular bent toward dystopian and futuristic fiction this year. "This is one of the capstone events of the sixth grade year," said Vicki Woodruff, MS English teacher.
