Summer Camp Highlight: Create a Country Leadership and Diplomacy Camp

Create a Country Summer Camp is an internationally focused leadership and diplomacy camp for children ages 9 to 13. Camp participants will work in groups to create “countries” complete with simple value statements, flags, founding documents, systems of government and a pre-determined set of assets and challenges. Campers will enjoy guest-speakers, mini-Olympics, Model UN Issue sessions, and game-based listening, communication and leadership skills training on St. Stephen’s Episcopal School’s beautiful 370-acre campus in Austin.

Create a Country Summer Camp teaches children respect for themselves and others, authentic listening, world cultures and perspectives, international issues, and the value of relationships and trust. Participants are also eligible to join the Create a Country Alumni Network.
