Mountain Biking Takes 2nd at Flat Rock Ranch

Congratulations to the St. Stephen’s Mountain Bike Team for placing 2nd overall in the April 19th race at Flat Rock Ranch near Comfort. This course featured an elevation gain of 725 feet and saw some of the fastest laps of the race series. Spartan riders tackled a distance of 17 miles in Varsity Girls and JV Boys, while Freshmen Boys and JV Girls rode 11 miles, and Middle School Boys and Girls raced all out for 5.8 miles. Special congratulations to medalists Catherine Canby for her 1st place finish in Varsity and 8thgrader Elizabeth Rowe for her 2nd place finish.

Riding for St. Stephen’s were Catherine Canby, Will Dooley, Ben Price, Andrew Rowe, Blake Reissig, Hannah Heydinger, Natalie Vaz, Ginny Brooks, Isaac Tilin, WillZagrodzky, Emilano Bonilla, and Elizabeth Rowe. The coaches are James Faerber and Cindy Abbott.
