EPIC Teammate of the Week: Charlotte Perkins and Freddie Downing, 8th grade

 

"Cha-Cha", as Charlotte is affectionately called, brings humor and a ton of energy to her team!  She is known for keeping the mood light and always manages to have a good time, no matter how things are going on the court! Coach Dustin Armstrong had this to say, "Charlotte always gives her best effort in practice and in games! Her hard work during practice is a direct reflection of her success on the court. Charlotte has great spirit and is an irreplaceable teammate!"

 

"Steady Freddie" earned his nickname from Coach King in 6th grade flag football. Freddie is the point guard on the Red Team and runs the court as if he is the quarterback of the team. He is great about directing players and distributing the ball to the open man. Coach Jed Marquez had this to say about Freddie, "He shows a willingness to always want to win. He shows his leadership characteristics everyday on the court and helps relay my messages to the team."

If we were to add on to the EPIC acronym just for Freddie, it would say "Effort, Passion for the game, Intensity, and Character."
