Yearbook Editors Attend Summer Workshop at UT

The weekend of June 17, two rising 12th-grade Spartans and Deacon Yearbook editors, Anna Kavanagh and Zach Tan, attended the Interscholastic League Press Conference (ILPC) Summer Publications Workshop at The University of Texas at Austin.

 

Hosted by University Interscholastic League, the three-day ILPC workshop was designed to enhance the journalism skills of student editors. Kavanagh and Tan participated in the Yearbook Essentials session, during which they focused on photography, writing, production management and design concepts of yearbooks. At the end of the conference, they presented their work to fellow attendees and received a photojournalism award for compelling photography in their layout.
