Three Spartans Named All-State Artists by TAEA
St. Stephen’s was well represented at this year’s Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) competition on Saturday, April 30, in San Marcos, Texas. Three of our students’ works were awarded Exemplary Status in their respective divisions.
Honored Spartan artists include 10th grader Isabella Ratcliff, 9th grader Leela Weisser and 11th grader Chelsea Xue. Their artworks were judged to be exemplary in terms of concept, technique, craftsmanship and creativity.
Student artists who received an exemplary rating (IV) at the state event receive a state medallion and are named an All-State Artist by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA), which has sponsored VASE since 1994. The artworks created by these students will be featured on the VASE website.
