Spartan Athlete of the Week: Graham Boles, 9th Grade

Graham Boles has taken the track by storm, starting out his Varsity Track and Field career with a bang. A 9th grader, Boles already has broken school records and competed with the best, making a name for himself in the track world.

Boles runs both the 2000m steeplechase and the 1600m. In the last few weeks, he has run his personal best in both races. Boles is now third overall in St. Stephen’s history in the 1600m with an incredible time of 4:39. On March 26, he broke the school record in the 2000m steeplechase at the 2022 Texas Relays with an impressive time of 6:51.   

Head Track and Field Coach Paul Carroza is thrilled with the young runner’s performances. “Graham is an emerging star,” Carroza said. “He has what it takes — hard work, dedication and talent. He is just getting started.” 

With this stunning kick off to his high school career, Boles should continue to improve and grow, as he has great passion and dedication to his sport. With lots of season left, there are many more chances for Boles to finish the season strong.
