Spartan Athlete of the Week: Clara Rogers, 9th Grade

The Spartan swim team heads to Fort Worth on Feb. 10 for the Southwest Preparatory Conference tournament, along with the girls’ soccer and boys’ basketball teams. One swimmer in particular has really stood out in the last few competitions, making her a contender for the 100-meter backstroke at the tournament. 

Clara Rogers is prepped and ready to head to the SPC tournament with momentum. In her last meet, she won the 100-meter backstroke with a stellar time. She had a strong showing and will strive for a strong finish in the upcoming race. 

“Clara is a great swimmer and has a lot of determination,” said Athletic Director Jon McCain. “She works hard, and we are excited to see how she fares at the SPC tournament.”

Although young, Rogers is proving to be a factor for the Spartans that could help the team in Fort Worth. Best of luck to all of the athletes competing this weekend!
