Moon Trains with National Lviv Philharmonic

During summer break, Director of Orchestras John Moon participated in the International Conducting Workshop and Festival (ICWF) in Lviv, Ukraine, where he further enhanced his skills. This opportunity was made possible by the school’s Annual Fund, which supports professional development of faculty and staff, as well as programs for students.

“I want to thank the school for helping defray the costs of the ICWF,” Moon said. “It was a truly amazing experience that helped me grow as a conductor. It was great to rehearse with and lead the National Lviv Philharmonic through two concerts of all four of Brahms’ symphonies.

“I know that the experience has improved my conducting, which will have a great impact on the orchestra program at St. Stephen’s,” he concluded.

This year, as we gather for campus activities and programs, we hope you delight in the discovery of how one special relationship, one moment in time or place, can resonate in a Spartan for a lifetime. Then please make a gift to the Annual Fund, which directly supports the school’s operating budget and the numerous outstanding offerings that sustain and enhance life and learning at St. Stephen’s.
