Spartans Participate in Central Texas Model UN Program at UT Austin

Four St. Stephen’s delegates participated in the spring 2021 Crisis Conference of the Central Texas Model United Nations (CTMUN) on April 24. Students served as representatives on four different UN assemblies.

Held annually at The University of Texas at Austin, CTMUN models historic and fictional crises in which students role play various assembly participants as they work through innovative responses to constantly changing situations. Spartans Sarah Aggarwal (10th grade), Peyton Burgess (11th grade), Zach Geller (9th grade) and Sam Palmer (11th grade) served as representatives for the Separatist Council in Star Wars, Native American Council of Five Nations, Warsaw Pact of the 1980s and International Assembly of Cultural Antiquity, respectively.

“It was a full-day online conference, and these students deserve praise for the interest, participation and Zoom stamina,” noted Christopher Colvin, Ph.D., Model UN sponsor.
