Rachel Schlesinger, a member of the Class of 2018, has been creating films at St. Stephen's since her freshman year. Her hard work and determination paid off last year when her documentary, “Inge,” was accepted into the 2017 SXSW film competition. Hers was one of only 20 short films produced by high schools students shown at the prestigious film festival. Her work on the film also was recognized during the 2017 Scholastic Art Awards. In addition to winning a Gold Award and being named an American Vision Award nominee in the regional competition, she was selected a “Best in Grade” award winner in the national competition.
Her most recent film, "Confidence," showcases the many ways young adults on our campus find happiness in the little moments we sometimes take for granted. As Schlesinger reminds us in her moving film, these moments not only bring joy, but give us confidence. Enjoy this wonderful new film.
