Mrs. Murphy, I always loved stopping by to say hello to you at your desk in Brewster. You are a bright and wonderful person and you made my boarding experience at St Stephen's feel special. Selfishly, I'm so glad you didn't retire earlier! Wishing you all the best. Mary Orms

I’m late to this party, but your sweet and funny presence was such a gift to SSES. I so enjoyed a good story and maybe even a quick gossip in Brewster between classes. You were a quiet advocate for all of us and it was always noticed. I don’t think I can think of a single alum who wouldn’t immediately say “didn’t you just love Ms. Murphy?” when St. Steve’s comes up in discussion. Sending you all of my good thoughts in retirement :)

Ms. Murphy you were always so kind to me! I would often stop by to visit when I was on my way to see Ms. Eskridge for Advisory. My favorite memory is when my grandmother sent me my very fist laptop for Spring semester. I must have dialed the main number 20 times to see if it had delivered yet. I hope that you and Maria are doing well! Enjoy your retirement!

Well, Kathi, what a ride it's been here. You sorted maybe 5,423 letters and made 242 Amazon deliveries, answered 312 questions about fax and copy machines, and sent out maybe 108 UPS packages, all for the Woodruffs alone. (All figures approximate, of course). And you managed to do the same thing for decades of other faculty members and students, too, all with a smile on your face and the phone ringing in your ear. What a relentless schedule! Thanks for making our lives easier with your hard work and friendship! Happy retirement to you, and keep having fun with those grandkids.

Dear Kathy, I am going to miss you so much. You are ALWAYS so helpful, and I am always glad to see your face when I walk into Brewster. I will miss you, your institutional knowledge, your eagerness to help everyone, your sense of humor and your kindness. Take care and be well!

Thanks for your colorful stories and open spirit. What will Brewster be without you? The million small acts of kindness in your career are monumental to those of us who have received them. Virtual hugs until we can celebrate your retirement together.

Kathi, there are not enough words to describe your faithfulness and your loyalty to SSES!!! Thank you for keeping Brewster running so smoothly and for all the care and thoughtfulness you showed to EACH of us--faculty and student alike--whenever we needed something to keep our days running smoothly! We will miss you a hundred times a day!!! It's time for you to take care of YOU!!! God bless!!!

Kathi, Though only worked with you for 1/2 a school year, I SO enjoyed your smile every time I got my mail. Even being super busy with your headset on and, what appeared to you doing 15 things at once, I always looked forward to a hello and a smile from you! I wish you the absolute best in retirement and am glad I was able to work with you, friend! Good Bless you and your family.
