School Nights at the Observatory

The observatory will be open for family, friends, alumni, and students for viewing various celestial objects tonight. If you are planning to attend, please email Frank Mikan fmikan@sstx.org a week before the session in order for us to have an idea of the number of people planning to attend.

Each session will run for two hours usually from 9 - 11 p.m. in the early fall, late spring & summer, or 8 - 10 p.m. in late fall, winter & early spring. As you know, we are very dependent on the weather. Even a light haze tends to wash out the sky because of the city lights. If the skies are hazy or partly cloudy, I will let you know about any cancellations by sending you an email. Thank you for your interest. I hope to see many of you this year out under the starry skies!
