Tradition of Philanthropy
A Far-Reaching Mission
When Bishop John Hines founded St. Stephen's Episcopal School in 1950, he envisioned a school with the highest academic standards that would welcome all people from across the socioeconomic spectrum. Hines, who became Presiding Bishop of the U.S. Episcopal Church from 1964 to 1974, dedicated his life to teaching and encouraging people from diverse backgrounds to find equitable, just and peaceful solutions to divisive problems. St. Stephen's embodies Bishop Hines' lifelong goal. The Advancement Office believes Bishop Hines' legacy is as noble and relevant today as it was at the school's founding.
The Advancement Office oversees fundraising, alumni relations and communications for St. Stephen's Episcopal School. The Advancement Office is dedicated to supporting the school’s mission by nurturing lifelong relationships, securing financial resources, and promoting St. Stephen's in local, national and international communities. Led by Christine Aubrey, the team is devoted to stewarding creative and effective alumni programs, parent programs, public relations, communications, development services and fundraising initiatives such as Annual Giving, as well as periodic endowment and capital campaigns.
