St. Stephens Episcopal School is currently seeking qualified candidates for part-time, non-commissioned Security Guard positions.
Salary Range: Based on experience
Screening Requirements: Criminal background check
Oral/written effective communication abilities
Ability to create and maintain daily logs and incident reports
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle crisis situations
Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a positive manner
Sound judgment and critical judgment
Patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
Visual acuity to drive at night and observe or otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
Monitor entrances/exits of campus
Utilize cell phones, computers and radios in the performance of your duties
Provide access control at the Security Main Gate
Unlock and lock facilities as directed
Monitor on campus parking and issues violations as needed
Respond to fire alarms and other emergency situations
Conduct school wide emergency drills as directed
Monitor and direct traffic during high traffic times and large events
All other duties as assigned
Minimum 21 years of age
Be registered as OR successfully complete Level II Security training
Clean driving record for past three years and no felony criminal history
Must be able to stand on your feet and walk for extended periods of time
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Security background preferred
Able to comply with all school policies and procedures with respect to uniform, appearance, attendance, scheduling, etc.
Must be able to provide three personal and three professional references
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on campus
