Full-Time Cook

St. Stephen's Episcopal School, a day and boarding school of 697 students (grades 6-12), is seeking a full-time Cook beginning immediately in the School’s Dining Hall.

Job Duties
  • Prepare meals that are flavorful, eye-pleasing and nutritional according to the recipe and in a consistent manner;
  • Prepare the proper quantity of food for the given number of people;
  • Have all food ready on time and oversee food station readiness;
  • Perform all cleaning duties as assigned;
  • Ensure that all food prep is completed for the next shift and all items pulled to thaw;
  • Properly wrap and store all food at the end of the shift;
  • Check all daily event sheets for caterings and assist as needed;
  • Assist with promptly checking in food and store deliveries as needed;
  • Managers and Supervisors may assign other tasks to be completed throughout your shift.
Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
