Betty and Duncan Osborne ’62 invite the St. Stephen’s community to double their Annual Fund impact.
They met on The Hill more than six decades ago, and today Annual Fund Grandparent Chairs Betty Bachman Osborne ’62 and Duncan Osborne ’62 are honoring the school’s past, present and future in a powerful and meaningful way by spearheading a $75,000 giving challenge from the Susan Vaughan Foundation, inviting grandparents to join them in supporting the school that has shaped generations of students.
Offered in honor of the School’s 75th anniversary, the $75,000 challenge will match every gift to the Annual Fund dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of grandparent generosity. Through this challenge, Betty and Duncan hope to inspire fellow grandparents to invest in the people and programs that define a St. Stephen’s education: outstanding faculty, academic excellence, character formation and a vibrant campus life.
“St. Stephen’s has been an important part of our lives for many years,” shared Betty and Duncan. “As grandparents, it is especially meaningful to support the school that is educating our grandchildren and preparing them for lives of purpose and service.”
Betty and Duncan’s connection to St. Stephen’s is generational. They are parents of two St. Stephen’s graduates, and the proud grandparents of three Spartans. Their family’s story reflects the deep, multigenerational bonds that make the St. Stephen’s community so special.
As St. Stephen’s reflects on 75 years of equipping students to live lives of meaning, the leadership of the Osbornes is a beautiful reminder of the enduring legacy grandparents help build. Their generosity — and the generosity of grandparents across the Spartan family — ensures that St. Stephen’s will remain strong for today’s students and for generations to come.
Grandparents are invited to join this special challenge and celebrate the 75th anniversary by making a gift to the Annual Fund in honor of their grandchildren and the school they love.
