Students, families and alumni unite for a historic afternoon of school spirit, fun, food and athletic competition.
St. Stephen’s will make history again with a grand Spartan 75th anniversary celebration. Spartan families, students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to join us as we officially cut the ribbon of the remarkable $17 million St. Stephen’s Aquatic Center and a new roadway called the Spartan Loop. This addition enhances aquatic programming, elevates Spartan athletics, and opens the door to year-round meets, expanded water polo opportunities and meaningful partnerships. The projects are the first to be completed as part of the school’s transformative comprehensive campaign.
Following the dedications, Spartans are invited to stay for the epic block party sponsored by the Parents’ Association and varsity competitions. Enjoy food trucks, surprise giveaways, Spartan merch, face painting, games, a dunk tank, karaoke and more — and be sure to wear your Spartan colors!
The spirited event will begin with a lively student pep rally in Clayton Gym. Students and community members will walk to the entrance of the Spartan Loop for the dedication and ribbon-cutting of the new road, which is made possible thanks to an anonymous $3 million gift. Spartan Loop will minimize traffic in residential areas and improve access to the new aquatic center. See the full event schedule here.
Starting at 5 p.m., the Girls Volleyball and Field Hockey teams compete, and then Spartans will fill the stands at Denius Stadium to cheer on the undefeated Varsity Football team under the Friday night lights. The Madrigals will perform the National Anthem right before the 7:30 p.m. kickoff. Spartan cheerleaders and Apollo Percussion will be on hand to keep the energy levels high.

The St. Stephen’s Aquatic Center & Comprehensive Campaign
The transformative St. Stephen’s Aquatic Center project is funded through a generous $17 million gift from the Still Water Foundation and is part of St. Stephen’s bold comprehensive campaign that is launching this fall. The campaign aims to enhance every aspect of campus life — from new and improved facilities to bolstered endowments that support faculty financial aid and scholarships, programs and curriculum. To date, the Spartan community has generously committed over $57 million to the campaign.
