Lasting Impact: A Bold New Chapter for St. Stephen’s

Every Spartan will be impacted by the initiatives of our newly launched $85 million campaign.

The St. Stephen’s Episcopal School Board of Trustees is excited to announce the public launch of Lasting Impact: The Campaign for St. Stephen’s, the boldest campaign in our school’s 75-year history.

The $85 million campaign will expand opportunities and access for students through financial aid and scholarships; support our faculty through a bolstered endowment; and enhance the spaces where Spartans learn, grow and lead. These capital projects include a new Science and Technology Center, a new Student Support Center and the expansion and renovation of our beloved Chapel, as well as the recently dedicated St. Stephen’s Aquatic Center and Spartan Loop. To date, donors have generously given $63 million to the campaign.

One such transformative gift presents Spartans with a new opportunity: the McCormick Challenge. Trustee Rosa McCormick ’93, P ’28, ’25 and Brian McCormick ’93, P ’28, ’25, along with Flora McCormick P ’93, GP ’28, ’25, have pledged to match all gifts to any campaign priority, up to $3 million.

Another opportunity for Spartans to build on our legacy and shape what comes next is the Annual Fund, a cornerstone of Lasting Impact and the school’s highest fundraising priority. The school launched the 2025-26 Annual Fund on October 1, 2025, with a celebratory volunteer breakfast led by Annual Fund Parent Chairs Hasmita and Sapan Shahani P ’32, ’30. The Annual Fund sustains every part of day-to-day life on The Hill.

“We've studied these projects. We know what a transformative impact each of them will have in our community,” says Head of School Chris Gunnin. “It's really exciting, and it's really ambitious. It's going to require the entire community to step forward and support the school for us to be successful.”

Every gift, no matter the size, helps ensure that we can continue to provide the transformative experiences that have defined a St. Stephen’s education for 75 years. Join us in making a lasting impact from The Hill to the world.
