Generous Donors Match $5 Million Lead Gift for a Future St. Stephen's Science and Technology Center

Thanks to incredible generosity, St. Stephen’s is thrilled to share that the community successfully met the challenge by the end of 2024! To date, donors have committed over $10 million to the Science and Technology Center project. This is an important milestone of progress toward the overall fundraising goal.

Last year, an anonymous alumni donor made an extraordinary $5 million lead gift to initiate the design and planning phases of the new St. Stephen’s Science and Technology Center. Along with this gift, the donor issued a challenge to the Spartan community: match their $5 million by December 31, 2024.

Current parents Eric and Michelle Natinsky P ’27, ’25 rose to the challenge with a naming gift for a computer science classroom.

“As parents, we’ve seen firsthand the incredible work happening at St. Stephen’s, and we believe the new science center will take things to the next level. We understand that for a project of this magnitude to move forward, it is a community effort, and there are often a small number of donors who have the ability to help with early momentum and excitement. Our kids are benefitting from beautiful learning spaces at St. Stephen’s due to the generosity of the many who came before us. We want to keep that tradition of generosity going and pay it forward for future Spartans,” remarqued the Natinsky's.

Once funding is secured, the project’s anticipated timeline spans three years, with one year dedicated to design and site development and two years for construction. This project is a top capital priority of the comprehensive campaign. With continued strong donor support, this state-of-the-art facility could open its doors to students as early as 2028.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this transformative project so far.
