St. Stephen’s Welcomes Students to Campus for New School Year
St. Stephen’s faculty and staff were thrilled to welcome students back to campus for the 2021–22 academic year. Beginning on Aug. 18, new boarding students from across the United States and around the globe made their way to Austin. Returning boarders and day students joined them on The Hill a few days later for orientation and other start-of-school events.
This year’s student body comprises 698 Spartans. Domestic boarding students represent 27 Texas cities and 12 additional states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Washington. International boarding students hail from 17 countries, including the Cayman Islands, China, the Congo, Germany, Guatemala, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam. In addition, 532 Austin-area residents are enrolled as day students.
Classes kicked off on Aug. 24 with 207 Middle School students and 491 Upper School students.
