Celebrate your love of reading in February at Becker Library! Get ready to meet a new favorite book! Our goal is to get everyone reading this month.
We will feature a special Middle School "Book Tasting" party on February 20th in the library from 4-5 p.m. RSVP now with library staff to join in the fun! New reads, tasty snacks, personal reading recommendations...what could be better?
Upper School students - save the date! We will set you up on a speed dating circuit with lots of great new books! Enjoy refreshments with us. Your special reading match awaits you on Friday, February 24th in the library from 4-5 p.m.
Everyone in the St. Stephen's community will be getting reading "love notes" from the library crew. Be on the lookout! Reading love is in the air!
On January 25, 2017, a stellar lineup of authors and creative types came to the St. Stephen's campus for our Literary Festival! Guest presenters led student groups in small sessions intended to illuminate and inspire our students and also to celebrate the art of writing in all its forms. All students had the opportunity to attend two sessions of their choice.

Academic Strategies for International Students
Becker Library kicked off the fall for our International students by offering special programming in collaboration with our International Department. Our "Academic Strategies" session featured special tips for transitioning into St. Stephen's, including:
* Information about academic honesty
* Time management tips
* Suggestions for success in our rigorous academic environment
* Pointers for personal wellness and stress management
On October 10th and 24th, Becker Library will offer research skills workshops to all new International Spartans! "Power Research Skills" will include instruction in database use, proper citation, and web evaluation.
