St. Stephen's Episcopal School, a day and boarding school of 697 students (grades 6-12), is seeking an Upper School (grades 9-12) Spanish teacher beginning August, 2019. Experience in teaching all levels of Spanish is required, as is near-native fluency in the language. Preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree in Spanish, native fluency, and particular interest and experience in teaching the literature, culture, and history of the Spanish-speaking world.
The school is looking for candidates who are accomplished instructors, are technologically proficient, and who are committed to working closely with high-school-age students.
Teaching 4 sections of Upper School Spanish
Serving as an advisor to a group of Upper School students
Proctoring study halls, attending chapel and participating in an assigned-seating lunch program
Working with students outside of class, in athletic, academic or other extracurricular activities
