The St. Stephen’s Parents’ Association supports the entire Spartan community year-round in immeasurable ways. PA volunteers are always hard at work behind-the-scenes raising critical funds for the Annual Fund, serving as grade-level class representatives, communicating with parents and hosting campus events. PA leaders also serve on the board of trustees, the booster clubs, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, and much more.

In addition to fundraising and events, parent volunteers are committed to promoting the general welfare of students, their families and faculty and staff. From coordinating grade level snack stations during holidays and therapy bunny rabbits during exam week to serving as dorm host families, parent volunteers tirelessly work to enrich the academic, spiritual, social, extracurricular, residential and family experiences at St. Stephen’s.

PA members are also focused on strengthening internal and external communication by improving relationships with other parents, school administration, faculty and staff so that, together, they may cooperatively develop each student in mind, body and spirit.

Meet the Parents' association president

Avani Parikh Vije P ’31, ’28

Avani Parikh Vije P ’31, ’28, is a public health practitioner with a background in English literature. An advocate of education, service and community engagement, she serves as president of the St. Stephen’s Parents’ Association. In this role, she coordinates the work of the association's board, class representatives, and committee and event chairs in consultation with the head of school, administration and staff to promote the school's mission. Her responsibilities include presiding over board and membership meetings, serving on the board of trustees, appointing representatives and committee chairs, and overseeing financial responsibilities.

Born in India and raised in North Texas, Avani has lived in Austin with her family since 2010. She is the mother of Rohan ’28 and Dilan ’31. Her favorite things about SSES are the dedicated students and faculty, the serenity of the chapel at sunset, and the openness of the community. You can find her on campus cheering at Spartan basketball games, attending diverse cultural and religious celebrations, and helping build a welcoming, fun community.
