Beginning Friday, August 1, the Online Bookstore will open for the 2025–26 school year. Order early as we are offering free shipping August 1 through August 14. After that time, all orders will be charged standard UPS shipping rates.

Please follow these steps:

1. Order your books according to your student's schedule posted on MySSES and refer to the Middle & Upper School Book Lists & Ordering Instruction PDFs shared below for more information.*

3. Click the ‘Let’s Get Started’ button
4. Enter the authentication code Spartans2025. This security step is required for parents/guardians to enter the eCommerce portion of the site. This further safeguards and protects the privacy of children when using the online store as set forth by COPPA, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998.
5. Log into your account if you have previously used this site; if you are new to the site, you will need to create an account as a New Customer
6. Click the Menu tab on the right
7. Select ‘Order Your Materials’
8. Select 2025-26 School Year
9. Use the drop-down menu to select the Department and Course Level (MS or US)
10. Select Course
11. Complete the order**

*Keep in mind that schedule changes could result in the need for textbook changes (do not write in the books until you have a firm schedule). New students with final schedules (those who have taken their placement tests or those who are enrolled in Algebra I and first year language courses) may order books starting August 1. New students taking placement tests on Monday, August 18 should wait to place textbook orders until the schedule is final.

**Boarding students may ship textbook orders to the school address. Day students may ship textbooks to their home addresses.

For faster access to campus, we ask that you display a SSES sticker in the front lower left corner of your windshield. 

Those who have parking stickers from the 2024-25 academic year will not need a new sticker as those are still valid until 2026.

Others can request their 2025-26 stickers through this form. It is also available on the Security tile in MySSES. 

We are excited to share the bus route information for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. Spots are reserved in the order received. Please submit by July 31, 2025, and we will confirm spots by August 8.

Pricing for a one-way rider is $1,550 or $3,100 for round trip. There is a $100 discount each way for families who have multiple riders. Times will be finalized during the first two weeks of school as we learn more about the traffic patterns. Please see the approximate schedule below as a reference:

Campus Access - We will alert you to important traffic changes along Loop 360 that may affect your commute as we learn of them. In the meantime, all drivers should enter and exit the St. Stephen’s campus from the main entry gate on Westlake Drive. The Rob Roy and Bunny Run entries are not authorized campus access points.  

Front Gate Arms - The inbound/outbound arms at the security booth are designed to lower  between each vehicle. Please allow adequate distance between you and the driver in front of you for the gate to work properly. 

Campus Speed Limit - We ask that you adhere to our 25 mph entering campus ahead of the iron gate and 15 mph throughout the remainder of campus. Solar speed limit signs are installed as a reminder to slow down if you are speeding.  

Stop Signs - It is important that all motorized vehicles come to a complete stop at all stop signs to ensure safe passage. Vehicles traveling up the hill to campus should do so slowly to watch for pedestrians in the crosswalks. Pedestrians have the right-of-way throughout the campus.   

Hands-Free Zone - The St. Stephen's campus is considered a hands-free technology zone. Texas Law prohibits drivers from using handheld devices while operating a motor vehicle, unless they are using hands-free technology.

Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:45 p.m. All parents should drop-off and pick-up students at the top of The Hill next to the Admission Office or in the Clayton Gym circle drive, located outside Clayton and Spartan Gyms. 

SSES Security will be helping direct traffic during the major pick-up and drop-off times.

St. Stephen’s Episcopal School is proud to announce that we will become a phone-free community in the fall of 2025. Upper School students will lock their phones in magnetic pouches from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., removing that distraction and allowing students to focus on face-to-face interactions during the school day. This spring, a significant majority of the 120 parents who responded to our survey supported the idea of restricting phones, joining faculty in the belief that students will benefit from the removal of the negative effects associated with teen phone use. We are excited to have a plan in place to give students the gift of a phone-free school day.

We believe all clothing has a time and place, and, in turn, that our dress code reflects what is appropriate for schools in general and our school in particular. During the academic day, students should be dressed and groomed in a manner that is clean, neat and appropriate for our academic context.

Middle School

During the school day, Middle School students are expected to wear clothing that does the following:

• Fully covers the midriff, sides and back of the body 
• Covers at least part of both shoulders 
• Fully covers undergarments (straps of sports bras may be visible) 
• Adequately covers the chest, private areas and upper thighs at all times
• Students wishing to play on the fields or in the gyms during recess must wear athletic shoes with closed toes and heels.

The following are not permitted: 

• Clothing with imagery or language considered offensive by our community or referring to actions or objects prohibited at school 
• Clothing that resembles pajamas (except during designated spirit days and final exams) 
• Hats or hoods worn indoors 
• Piercings other than earlobe, tattoos and unnatural hair color 

Upper School

During the school day, Upper School students are expected to wear:

• Shorts/skirts that adequately cover the hips and upper thigh
• Pants, shorts, or skirts without holes showing skin above the acceptable level of shorts
• Clothes that do not expose undergarments by cut or fabric (bra straps not included)
• Clothes that cover the front and lateral areas of the torso from the underarm to the waist
• Clothes that cover midriffs from the front and the sides: all shirts must be of a length where the shirt touches the waist of pants, skirts or shorts when one stands still and straight

The following are not permitted:

• Clothes that make reference to or promote sex, drugs, violence, alcohol, tobacco or obscenities
• Clothes that resemble pajamas, except during finals
• Hats in the dining hall or Chapel at any time
