Spartan Athletes of the Week: Bryce O'Sullivan and Will Walters
Congratulations to Bryce O’Sullivan '28 and Will Walters '26 for earning Spartan Athlete of the Week honors!
Bryce O’Sullivan has been on fire for Spartan Baseball in the second half of their spring campaign. In the last three games, O’Sullivan has gone 7-for-8 at the plate, with 7 RBIs. On Saturday, he closed the game on the mound in the Spartans’ 6-3 victory over SPC opponent Cistercian to earn the save. In two innings pitched, O’Sullivan threw 16 strikes in 18 total pitches and struck out two batters.
“Bryce is a kid we can always rely on to handle moments of pressure,” said Baseball Program Head Steven Elder. “His performance against Cistercian was just proof of the confidence the team has in him.”

Will Walters has been a scoring machine for Spartan Lacrosse lately, dominating the stat sheet and bringing home three conference victories in the last week. In the team’s 16-8 win over Greenhill, Walters notched 4 goals and 4 assists. On Friday, he added 7 goals and 4 assists against in the Spartans’ 17-5 victory over Trinity Valley. On Saturday, Walters helped his team to a 9-8 win over Fort Worth Country Day School, scoring 6 goals and earning 1 assist.
"Will's performance this week was nothing short of elite,” said Boys Lacrosse Program Head Noah Fink. “To put up those kinds of numbers against conference opponents shows the level of focus and skill he's playing with right now. He isn't just scoring; he's making everyone around him better, which was clear in that gritty one-goal win over Country Day.”
Cheer on the Spartans on Wednesday, April 1, at home as the team faces Stony Point High School at 7 p.m. on Denius.
