The Nancy Wilson Scanlan Art Gallery opened in the fall of 1994. Alum Nancy Wilson Scanlan ’59, for whom the gallery is named, is an accomplished professional photographer. Over the years, she has had several exhibitions of her own work in the eponymous exhibit space.
Scanlan's connections to the school are strong and deep. In addition to teaching art history at the school, her two children graduated from St. Stephen’s, and she boasts two Spartan grandchildren — both creative visual artists! Scanlan also served the school faithfully as a trustee and a member of other important school committees devoted to sustaining the founding mission and vision of the school.
