In the 2026-27 school year, 22% of the student body received over $6.6 million in financial assistance, with awards ranging from $1,880 to more than $60,000. These awards aided families with annual incomes ranging from below $50,000 to over $200,000.
We offer on campus and virtual affordability workshops. Click here to register for the December 8 Virtual Affordability Workshop at 7 p.m. Topics include completing the Clarity financial assistance application, payment plans, merit boarding scholarships and answering general questions about the process. This is a parents-only session.

A limited number of application fee waivers are available to students whose families have significant financial need (typically an annual family of four income of less than $100,000). Please complete this form and request a fee waiver by sending an email to affordability@sstx.org or by calling 512-327-1213 ext. 156.
Domestic/International: $65 per household
Clarity automatically waives the application fee for families who meet their criteria based on income and assets.

At this time, the St. Stephen’s Episcopal School Board of Trustees and school leadership team have decided that the school will not participate in the Texas Education Savings Account (ESA) program.
St. Stephen’s is committed to accessibility, affordability, and socio-economic diversity, and we have long supported these values through a robust, self-funded financial assistance program. In the 2025–26 academic year, 22% of students received need-based financial aid awards. To support families in navigating financial considerations, St. Stephen’s offers on-campus and virtual affordability workshops, which include guidance on the financial aid application process and available payment plan options.
The Board of Trustees and school leadership team will continue to monitor the ESA program as it develops and will provide timely updates should the school’s position change.
