For years, St. Stephen's has had a strong relationship with students from the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan who have thrived academically at our school. Due to the increase in the number of applicants from these countries/territories, we have established campus visit and interview procedures.
Campus visits are optional. We ask students applying for admission from PRC/Hong Kong/Taiwan to attend one of the sessions designed specifically for you.
Your campus visit will include a Question & Answer session, campus and dorm tour, lunch with current international students, and student and parent interviews. This visit allows you to learn more about St. Stephen’s academic, residential, and extra-curricular opportunities. There are a limited number of spaces available each day and reservations are required. Applicants from PRC, Hong Kong, and Taiwan may ONLY visit campus on the dates listed below.

Interviews:
On campus interviews are completed during the Chinese Applicant Visit Day. The interview is for both the student and parents (if present) and takes about 45 minutes.
Virtual interview requests will be processed through Vericant. Vericant will provide a recording of the interview and a copy of a writing sample to us for our review. Evaluation of the interview is done by the Office of Admission. Once your Vericant interview is reviewed, we will contact you if needed to schedule a virtual interview. We strongly recommend that you schedule your Vericant interview before January. You may learn more about Vericant at www.vericant.com.
Standardized Test Scores:
We accept SSAT (code 6956) and ISEE (code 440315) scores. Testing must be completed by January 20th to be considered for the priority deadline.. TOEFL (code B078) is recommended, but not mandatory and cannot replace the SSAT. Students may also submit DuoLingo scores for consideration. While there is not a minimum score that we look for, the most successful students tend to have a SSAT score of 2000 and above, however, we encourage you to apply even though your test score is not in this range as we review the whole application.
Application Basics:
Boarding candidates may choose to complete applications through our Finalsite admission application portal, the Standard Application (SAO) or Gateway to Prep Schools. Applications are due by January 20.
