St. Stephen's & St. Etienne

The partnership between St. Stephen's and St. Etienne has become everything we hope for in a partnership. Working with our friends in Salmadère, Haïti, we have built a school where there was none for miles around, participated in water projects and community economic development efforts which are moving the school toward sustainability, brought Haitian art and culture home to people who may never travel there, and helped students and faculty develop a lifelong orientation toward outreach, service, and international friendship and understanding. Over twenty years of committed partnership have brought life and purpose to people in Salmadère and in Austin.

Haïti In the Helm

Haïti in the Helm is held in the Scanlan Gallery in the winter. It features artisan-made goods from Haïti and other fair-trade vendors. It is one of the largest annual fundraisers for St. Etienne, supporting more than 250 students.

Haïti On The Hill

Haïti on The Hill is a spring fundraiser led by students in the Haïti Club to support St. Etienne in Salmadère. By signing up to volunteer, students help make an impact — all proceeds go toward education, daily meals and access to clean water.
