Annual Report of Philanthropy

I am deeply grateful to everyone who believes in the mission of St. Stephen’s and supports our shared purpose of inspiring a lasting love of learning and a spirit of service. Your gifts ensure we can provide a transformational education to our students and shine as an example of service for others. Thank you for helping us truly make a difference from The Hill to the world.

-Chris Gunnin, Head of School
We are grateful to our generous St. Stephen’s community who contributed gifts of time, talent and treasure during the 2022-2023 fiscal year. A Transformational Gift

St. Stephen’s Episcopal School receives a $17 million gift — the largest single gift in the school’s 75-year history — from the Still Water Foundation to construct a natatorium. “This transformational gift — among the largest gifts to any independent school in Texas — will strengthen St. Stephen’s ability to provide a holistic educational experience, nurturing the mind, body and spirit of each student. We are profoundly grateful,” said Chris Gunnin, head of school.

Thank You for a Record-Breaking Annual Fund

In the 2022-23 academic year, the Annual Fund reached a historic level with gifts exceeding $1.77 million. Gifts from St. Stephen’s Trustees, alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends made a tremendous impact on the day-to-day student experience. The Annual Fund enables St. Stephen’s to use funds in the current academic year when and where most needed. A strong Annual Fund ensures St. Stephen’s can make choices, not compromises.
“Whether it’s been a few days or a few years since you last stepped foot on The Hill, we know that the things we all value in St. Stephen’s transcend generations and remain true today. We all love the school’s stellar faculty, coaches, and staff, the campus architecture, the chapel, and our friendships that have endured decades.”
