St. Stephen's Episcopal School: Soccer

The St. Stephen's Soccer Academy is the nation's premier academic-soccer program.

The Soccer Academy - headed by three full-time, USSF and UEFA-licensed coaches with professional and collegiate experience - combines the elements necessary for developing the player, student, and person.

Through Academy and club play in Austin, participants are exposed to high levels of intensive training and competition on a regular basis.

Academy sessions include technical and tactical instruction, individual attention, and concern for the development of every aspect of a player's game.

Academy players are prepared for the challenges of soccer at collegiate and professional levels.

Some program highlights include:

* Graduates have continued their soccer careers at Wake Forest, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Dartmouth, Davidson, UC-Berkeley, Rhodes College, Boston University, Notre Dame, Rice, Boston College, Univ. of Maryland and other top institutions.

* Competitive 20-game winter high-school season; participation with Austin-area club teams in fall and spring; summer opportunities for international travel and competition.

* Annual individual strength and conditioning program monitored by a full-time strength and conditioning coach.
